FVV Quality issues or Fake/

Hello all,

I am not as experienced as you all but was hoping to get some help!

I own a few of the original ones and they are fantastic. I recently started buying a few of the FVV Aroutcheffs and saw several quality issues. Is it just me or did I end up buying fake products.

For several of the cars I purchased the decals are coming off. For example the Carnardo photos shows the peeling off of the decals. The same for the Blacksad and Blake and Mortimer Camion.

The other issues are the misalignment of the wheels in the Yoko Tsuno and Spirou Renault. I am an automobile engineer and sorry these things pop out to me!

If these are issues with the original cars, how do people fix them? I am confused as I am pretty sure the decals cannot be straightened. Do you repaint them?

Any help would be super useful!!

Hey. The Canardo Caddie seems real to me -I don't think it was ever popular enough for anyone to bother making copies of it anyway- but you're right: the silver lining on the side shouldn't be peeling off. No matter how annoying, those things do happen on Aroutchies, sometimes. It's strange it's happening on all three, though. Could it be a temperature issue? I'm sure there is some kind of warranty if you bought them from a shop -online or regular.

I don't know about the wheels on the other models you mention but the infamous Mormiter did mess around with his Boule et Bill 2CV because he wasn't happy with them

it's indeed very simple to open the Figures & Vous vehicles, actually the A.rutchev's too 4 to 6 screws fix the body to the frame remove the blacks stickers which hide them, once dismantled you see the axles, encased in a wooden compartment with the springs
the problem with F&V, and it becomes each time worst, is the quality I even cursed here the Chinese so intensively that I was censored the Quick Super front axle is totally twisted and not straight, to fix this one must make a new wooden case, for the axles holes are not precise at all

for the decals I rejoin my friend's opinion (friend my arse the INFAMOUS mormiter) you have a storing problem well, it can be quite hot in Pondichéry

The heat in Pondicherry is not that bad . We do have the cheapest alcohol in India with the lowest taxes because we joined India later in 1957 So it is not all bad

Would anyone by chance have any recommendation of the type of glue they se to fix minor nicks and cracks. We have something here like the popular Super Glue. But if there is something better/specific compared to in the EU I can buy that as well from my daughter

the concept is from Aroutcheff himself but his models, even made in China were of good quality the last F&V by no means hence my rage against the Chinese Aroutchev was able to do something with his hands whereby visibly the F&V creatives cannot judge handwork neither notice grave mistakes

Hell just a stupid wooden encasing with much too big openings for the axle then when you roll the -heavy- Quick, of course the axle can't roll straight you should see the rear axle unit of the Dauphine to compare ten times more work

listen, folks, I don't give a damn if they are made in Prague by highly educated engineers or in China by blind underfed orphans I know how much I pay and which standard I might expect for that price

oh wow!! Basic tenets of engineering are not followed. Even if I paid for 50 EUR for this I would have been disappointed. But I just saw that it was priced at 799 EUR!!!

The simple alignment of the axles are also not proper! I noticed it in my cars too immediately. Something was wrong. The wheels were not turning in sync!

This can be easily checked given they are small cars by building a small wheel alignment machine which has a conveyor belt and 2 rollers with a small motor. It should not cost more than 150 EUR to build. Given they have limited edition cars (300-500) it should be easy to build and worth to use! Maybe I will build one

I thought maybe I was unlucky and got a bad piece now I am very disappointed with their quality. Sorry Mormi!

Just to give you an example.

A Super Quick is priced at 799 EUR.

The entry level car in India called the TATA (same company that makes Jaguar/Land Rover) Nano is (Rupees 100,000) or 1362.67 EUR!!! This is an actual car 4 people can drive

Ils seront beaux, les collectionneurs à ce moment là (si tout n'a pas préalablement explosé ou fondu suite au tir malencontreux d'un Missile Satan Russe, capable à lui seul de raser la France d'un simple clic sur un bouton), comment feront ils pour emporter avec eux leur collection dans les vaisseaux supposés les conduire vers une nouvelle Terre Promise ? Hein ?... Comment ils feront, avec leur Char Astérix, leur potiche Pigeon et leur Bugatti Veyron ?

from 10 years now, there is a sprayed shiny varnish coat over the stickers and lacquer.
Only models made by Aroutcheff and Démons & Merveilles are concerned by this humidy or temperature problems.

Faites un effort, enfin Supermario a des soucis avec ses Aroutcheff : les bandes argentées se décollent sur les côtés. C'est peut-être à cause du taux d’hygrométrie de l'air à Pondycherry où il habite -mais personne ne sait trop d'où ça vient. En tout cas, il est très déçu car une Aroutcheff vaut presqu'aussi cher qu'une vraie voiture dans son pays

Après, ils sont partis avec Mormitère sur un délire passionné concernant des essieux-machins pas droits que je me suis empressé de ne pas lire PV a finalement enchaîné avec des considérations d'ordre philosophiques sur le bien-fondé d'empiler les objets para-BD sur le long terme En clair : Memento homo quia pulvis es et in pulverem reverteris.
